This is the new home for information about a clean poorly lighted space gallery. ACPL Space is a gallery with two unique locations at The University of Wisconsin-Stout and Cranbrook Academy of Art.
Various pictures and videos from openings and shows will be posted here as well as submission requirements for proposals to the gallery.
Our submission requirements are as follows:
A Clean Poorly Lighted Space is a new gallery located in the Applied Arts Building at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin and at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Exhibitions at A Clean Poorly Lighted Space will demonstrate a knowledge of contemporary art issues and a new artistic voice. The gallery supports work in all formats such as: Installation, drawing, sculpture, new media, and performance. Proposals are recommended and are looked upon favorably in the selection process. ACPL Space intends to accomodate and make manifest ideas from emerging artists that have been previously unrealized. All proposals and images will be considered and exhibitions will be decided upon by the director and the curatorial team. Keep in mind that ACPL Space is very unique and artists are encouraged to inquire about the size and dimensions of the space. The submission guidelines are as follows:

Image size requirements:
-Largest pixel dimension no greater than 1600
-PPI of 140
-Images should be JPEG format
-Please no more than 4 images
Proposal requirements:
-Proposals should be limited to one page single spaced.
-Proposals should address the content of your proposed work and how you view your proposal within the context of contemporary art and ideas.
